"La cacciatrice santa Matoi") segue le vicende di Matoi Sumeragi, una studentessa delle medie che lavora part-time come miko nel tempio di Tenman nella città di Kamaya. Da quando si è separata dalla madre in tenera età ha vissuto con i nonni materni e da poco si è trasferita a vivere con il padre investigatore Shingo. La sua migliore amica è Yuma Kusanagi, anche lei miko al tempio Tenman e candidata a esserne la prossima officiante come da tradizione della sua famiglia.
Un giorno, arrivando al tempio, Matoi e Yuma trovano i genitori di quest’ultima a terra feriti. Il padre di Matoi durante le indagini trova come unico testimone uno strano tipo che non pare mentalmente stabile. Quando Yuma gli stringe la mano, inizia il rituale della “Possessione Divina” ma improvvisamente il potere dell’esorcismo passa anche a Matoi…Mostra trama completa
